Dianna of Digicats gave me a couple of awards a few days ago and I'm just getting around to thanking her. Sorry, Dianna! Anyway here's the first award...

I'm going to pass this award on to the following bloggers...

You girls rock!

Actually, what I got is more flip flops. Three pairs of them. LOL! You can never have too many flip flops.

I've lost my resort pass again. I used it in the mail room on Wednesday to pick up a package and haven't seen it since. The problem is that I only remember that I've lost it at weird times, like now and when I need to get inside the security gate or when I'm locked out of the building. LOL!

Luckily, the guards on the back gate know me pretty well and let me in. It pays to be nice to them! LOL! So far, there's only been one time that I needed to get in the building and had to wait for someone to come along. Thank goodness the wait wasn't long! A cute guy in a Kinko's shirt was on his way out and held the door for me. Thank you, Kinko's guy!

Anyway, tomorrow's project is to try and find the pass. Wish me luck! If you've got any ideas on where I should look, I'd love to hear them! LOL!

April has got a pretty set in her store called Heavenly Hybiscus. We've been taking pictures of the kids at school for our end of year luau party so I played with her kit a little today...

I also used Flowerscraps portion of A Mother's Moment blog train to scrap one of my London pictures. This statue was in the Imperial War Museum. There was a whole section devoted to the children of World War II. It was a very sad and beautiful part of the museum. There was a gentleman there that had been a child in London during the war. He was with his grandchildren and was pointing things out to them and sharing his memories. His stories actually had my friend Susan and I in tears.

In honor of Mother's Day, Shel Belle Scraps is releasing the first part of a kit today called Mother's Love. It's a beautiful kit with nice soft colors. I used some of the background papers from it to scrap another London Picture. This one was taken in Harrods Department Store and is a statue honoring Princess Diana and Dodi al Fayed.

Here's a preview of the kit for you to see. Now make sure you go visit Shel to pick it up!

OK, everyone, give my friend Dianna of Digicats a big hand. She is now selling her tagger size kits at Stargazer Scraps! Go check it out! She's got a Mother's Day sell going on now.

Now, I've got an exra freebie for you today in honor of my new flip flops. LOL! Have you ever seen anyone so excited over flip flops?

Happy Saturday

Download wordart here

I am so happy that the weekend is here! I am going to do all the things I have to do then rest and relax the rest of the weekend. Doesn't that sound like fun?

Last week was supposed to be the last week my high school volunteer came, but she came back this week and today was her birthday. We had so much fun picking on her. I took some pictures and hope to get them scrapped this weekend. We have been taking pictures of the kids for a laua setting and made Ms. Katherine wear the grass skirt today. LOL! Thank goodness she has a great sense of humor.

The lunch we ordered in today was great. We all ate so much we about popped. I was so full from lunch that I decided not to go out to dinner with my friends. I just wanted to come home watch this weeks episode of Lost that I TIVOed and take a nap. Isn't my life exciting. LOL!

I'm off to bed now. Enjoy your day!

Today's complaint: Donald Trump

Download wordart here

So in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week The Trump International Beach Resort at Sunny Isles donated 3 special freebie gifts to our school. That was a nice thing for them to do, but we have way more than 3 teachers! So, three names got pulled out of a hat and those three people get appreciated. What about the rest of the teachers? Don't they deserve to get pampered too? I'm betting you can guess that my name wasn't pulled. LOL!

Oh well, the good news is that my name was drawn at Amy W.'s Scrap-A-Lot and I won her NSD Grab Bag. How awesome is that?!? Thanks, Amy!

It's finally Friday! Today's lunch is being ordered from Mario the Baker. People at school just love his lasagna and chicken parm. I like the garlic rolls!

April has posted a beautiful QP freebie. Just look at this...

Make sure you go by her blog to pick it up!

OK, I've got to get some sleep. Enjoy your day!

My printer loves me again

Download wordart here

After giving my printer a time out it decided to play nice again. Thank goodness! The envelopes are finally printed and I can rest easy tonight. Of course, tomorrow I have to put stamps on all of them and get them in the mail. LOL!

At school we're celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week and I had a parent show up this afternoon with Sundaes from McDonalds for my assistant and myself. She felt bad because she didn't realize my high school volunteer would be there, so she left went back to McD's and got another one for her. How nice was that?!?!

I've had a long hard night of envelope printing so I"m going to bed now. Enjoy your day!

My printer hates me and George is hiding!

Download wordart here

I've got a tone of envelopes to address for a party. I've set everything up to print and my printer doesn't want to print them.On top of the normal computer/printer checks I've tried talking sternly to it, I've tried begging, I tried calling it mean names, I've tried almost crying and I've tried threats. Got any ideas for me? I really don't want to hand write these things! Besides, half of them are printed already.

I'm going to give the printer a break until I get home from school on Wednesday. Hopefully it will be in a better mood then. LOL! If it's not, I just may throw it out a window. LOL! That won't get my envelopes printed but it will give me a certain amount of satisfaction.

OK, so word has it that there have been George Clooney sightings here on South Beach. He hasn't called! He hasn't emailed! He hasn't sent flowers! What's wrong with this man? Has he been talking to my printer? LOL! I looked for him at Walgreens, but he wasn't there. LOL!

It's late and I need to get some sleep. Enjoy your day!

They're just jealous!

Download wordart here

So the girls at school thought it was wrong that I leaned up and smelled Mark Consuelos at Walgreens the other day. He was standing right in front of me! What else was I supposed to do? LOL! I think they're just jealous of me. I informed Natalie that she's not the only that gets to hob knob with the rich and famous. Thankfully, she was kind enough not to point out that she hob knobbed at the Oscars and I was only at Walgreens. LOL!

Kim, my friends daughter, has a broken heart. She is a junior at the University of Miami majoring in Marine Science and her now ex-boyfriend is in fire fighter school. They dated in high school, broke up, got back together and have now broken up again. She is sad. Her mother is sadder!

Her mother is sad because there are no magic words to take away her daughter's pain and there is no band-aid large enough to cover the wound. For the first time, as a parent, she feels lost.

It's easy to tell your child that time and space will help. It's easy to try and distract her with other things. It's easy to blame the boy for everything. LOL! It's hard to watch your child cry. It's hard to know that their smile just covers up the sadness. It's hard to accept that they are way past the age where a new toy can fix everything.

Soon, Kim will be going to the Keys to do a summer internship at Dolphins Plus. If you happen to be down there and see her, please tell her to keep her chin up, better days are ahead. If you see her mom, please offer her a Kleenex and a strawberry daiquiri. LOL!

OK, enough sadness! On to happier topics. Summer will be here before you know it and I am so looking forward to being on vacation! In the mean time, I'm still getting ready for the luau themed party. I made a label that fits a 3 oz bottle of bubbles. I bought my bottles 3 for $1 at the dollar store. Once again I used graphics from Shel Belle's part of the Sunshine Beach blog train. I also used graphics from her Tropical Punch Kit.

Here's a picture for you to see...

Sorry the picture isn't better. If you would like the label, you can download it here.

It's past my bedtime! Enjoy your day!
