Frosty

Download wordart here

Frosty is exactly what it is here! Can you believe that we've had lows in the 30's? In Miami?!?! Today has been cold and rainy. YUCK!

Well, Shel must have known that we were going to be frosty when she designed her newest kit. It's even called Frosty. LOL! Now, this kit is so special that you're going to get one download a week for the next four weeks. Each week is a mini kit that goes with the other three to make one fabulous kit. Here's a preview of the wonderful kit you'll be getting...

I'm taking the day off!

Download wordart here

I have a doctor's appointment in the morning and since you never know just how long those things will take I'm taking the whole day off from work. LOL! Am I bad or what? I was on vacation for two weeks then I worked for three days and now I'm taking a day off. LOL!

The bad part is that I've got some things to do after my appointment. All week long I've told myself, "Oh, I'll take care of that after I go to the doctor since I've got the day off." Well, now I've got so much to take care of that I may actually work more then I would if I were actually going to work.

Oh well, who cares? I have the day off! LOL!

Enjoy your day and don't forget to look for me at digifree!

My Father

Download wordart here

While I was going though some of the old photos my mom dug up while checking out our family history I found this photo of my dad in his younger days. I used Carol's Remember When kit to make a layout for the scraplift challenge at Stuff to Scrap.

I was 14 when my dad passed away and we weren't close because I was a rotten kid. Now, I love when I come across a picture of him.

I need to get some sleep and you need to check out the sale Carol has on her kits at Cool Scrap Digitals. You should also check her blog for some freebies!

Enjoy your day and don't forget to look for me at digifree!

OK, we're all in for a real treat this week! Ellay has teamed up with Katie of Always Be Neighbors to create an awesome collab kit called Goodfellas. Are you thinking about gangters and The Godfather? Well you should be cause that's the theme of this kit! Take a look at these awesome previews...

There are so many fun papers and elements to scrap pictures from Halloween or theme parties, but you can also scrap everyday pictures too. I pulled out some old family pictures, scanned them and scrapped those. Now, my ancestors are Irish not Italian but I don't think they would mind my using such a great kit to scrap their pictures. LOL!

A few years ago my mom got into tracing our family history and of course she found out lots of interesting facts....some of which we were probably better off not knowing. LOL! The first picture I scraped shows some family members in a picture that was taken in 1916. I can't identify all of these people, but I thought this picture was perfect for the kit. I used items from both kits....

This next picture was taken in 1941 and it's my grandparents. My grandfather looks like he really means business in this photo, but from what I can remember of him, he really was a sweet and funny man who always wore a hat. Well, he was an old fashioned gentleman so he always took his hat off indoors.

Of course, I had to try an extraction on one of my layouts...

The kit is free for this week only so make sure you visit Ellay and Katie to pick it up!
