The Story of Me

I've finished the fifth day of Camp Nanowrimo and have finally gotten over ten thousand words written. There's still a long way to that 50,000 word goal!

This book is called The Story of Me and it's sad. REALLY, really sad! I don't want to confuse you with parts of this story and The Day Ginger Snapped so I won't give you too much of the actual stroy line.....yet. I will share this line with you though.....

My mother had given me away. She gave me away on Valentine’s Day
and she had used a sheet of notebook paper to sign over her rights.


See, I told you it was sad!

I think that's why the writting is going so slow for me. It's hard to write sad stuff and I have to keep taking breaks.

So far, there aren't very many nice people in this book. Many of the characters have names that match the ones you guys have suggested. There's a Lily, Stephen, Irene, Clara, Harmony, Pat, Anniston, Chase, Clara, Mortimer and a Harvey. I've also used the last names, MacDougal, Van Ingen, Phillips and Cotton. I may have used some first names as last names, but I used them.

There are more characters coming and their names have been picked so I'll let you know when they enter into the plot.

Now, don't be too impressed if I've used your name or a name you suggested because like I said---not very many nice people so far. lol!

The fun part is how supportive everyone who is doing this has been. Everyone is sharing ideas and offering support. They're all nicer than the characters in my story are. lol!

OK, Ok, I know I make you guys read about how much I love fireworks every 4th of July and New's Years, but seriously.....I love fireworks!!!

Tonight we sat outside and had the perfect view of SIX---yes I said six!---different firework displays. Now, most of them were small and far enough away that they weren't really impressive.

The fireworks from Fisher Island were beautiful, but really didn't last very long. That was disappointing because the Fisher Island people are super rich! They should have put on a longer fireworks display.

The fireworks from Bayfront Park had the added beauty of the Miami skyline so as usual they were my favorite this year.

There weren't any fireworks from Star Island, but that's ok because no one can out do the display P. Diddy put on 5 or 6 years ago. Do you remember that? There was a big blow up between him and Rosie O'Donnell because of it.

She went on TV and said, "You set of fireworks and my kids were sleeping. They were scared and it's all your fault."---or something like that. Then he came back and said, "Yeah, i set of fireworks. It was the 4th of July. DUH!"---or something like that.

Well, we were there! We weren't actually at P. Diddy's party, but we were sitting on our side of the bay (the poor side) watching the fireworks from his party. They were awesome!

Why aren't I asleep?

Well, I told you the caffeine was going to keep me up last night and it did. I did learn a very important lesson though. I learned that when you text people at 3AM they tend to not text you back right away. lol!

The last time I remember looking at the clock, it was going on 4AM and I was still awake. I had finished reading one book and started reading another, I had counted to 100 more times than I can remember and I sent everyone I've ever met a text message hoping someone else was awake and wanting to talk. No one was!

It was around ten this morning when the house phone started ringing and I could hear my cell phone chirping in an attempt to let me know that people were waking up and returning my text messages. Sure, now that I'm finally sleeping everyone else is awake. lol!

I went ahead and got up because I had lots of things to do and figured I would catch up on the sleep tonight. I got most of my errands completed and managed to stay dry at the rain storms came through.

Now, I want to sleep but I'm still wide awake.....UGH!

I know I've told you guys this before, but I have to say it again---Miami is the best place ever! I am so glad to be home after a long tiring week.

I had a busy afternoon of answering emails, reading blogs, doing laundry, watching the shows that were recorded while I was gone and starting on my new novel for Camp Wrimo. Oh, and I also made some orange sherbet, talked on the phone and ordered fajitas.

I'm tired!

Of course there's so much caffeine in the orange sherbet that I probably won't fall asleep for hours and hours and hours.....I don't handle caffeine well! lol!

Orange Croc Guy in still in New Jersey, but he's holding up well.

He called earlier to make sure I had gotten home ok and our conversation was just like any other conversation we've ever had---pointless and confusing. lol! You have to experience it to truly appreciate it...(I'll skip most of the boring parts for you)....

OCG: What are you doing?

ME: Talking to you.

OCG: OK, what else are you doing.

ME: Playing on the computer and reading TMZ.

OCG: Sounds like fun.

ME: OH MY GOSH!

OCG: Don't yell at me. I said it sounded like fun.

ME: I'm not yelling at you. Apparently Jonathan Rhys Meyers tried to commit suicide in London.

OCG: Who's that?

ME: You know...the cute guy from The Tudors. We watched that one movie he was in where he had the kid cause my blog readers said we would like it.

OCG: Was it a girl movie?

ME: Maybe.

OCG: That's why I don't remember it.

ME: Oh wait, maybe he didn't try to commit suicide. They're saying that he fell off the wagon...again.

OCG: That's just a slower form of suicide.

ME: I bet he fell off the wagon because he heard that George Clooney broke up with that girl and now he's free to be with me and JRM is upset that he may have missed his chance.

OCG: Ginger, you get that these people have never heard of you right?

ME: Oh, now you're just being jealous.

OCG: yeah, that's it...jealous.

ME: I started writing my novel for NaNoWriMo

OCG: How's it going

ME: It's sad. You should see some of the things I've written. I think I may need counseling.

OCG: I would agree with that.

ME: UUUGGHHH!

OCG: Why are you yelling at me now? You said it and I just agreed with you.

ME: I'm not yelling at you. I made some orange sherbet and I just got brain freeze.

OCG: How old are you? Twelve?

ME: No, if I were twelve I would have put sprinkles on my orange sherbet. But I'm not so I didn't...I also didn't have any sprinkles.

OCG: Whatever. What else are you going to do today?

ME: I'm going to order some fajitas.

OCG: Of course you are.

ME: Do you know why I'm ordering fajitas?

OCG: (said using his best girly voice) Because that fajita delivery guy...is like...so hot.

ME: Yeah he is! Also, that cute fajita delivery guy...he's heard of me...

OCG: And now you're just being mean.

ME: I know.

Now this is the part of the conversation where you say "Oh, he's so sweet and you're so mean" because he knows how much I love watching fireworks and he's had a rough week and I'm giving him a hard time.

OCG: Ginger, I'll be there in time for the fireworks on Monday.

ME: I'll save you a seat.

See, I'm not THAT mean...I'm going to save him a seat!

Jonathan Rhys Meyers----if you happen to be reading this I hope you understand that some battles are harder to fight than others, but you should keep fighting because you're worth it...and you're also REALLY hot....and you should also CALL ME!
