I have lots of little things to tell you about tonight.
We'll start with Twilight. It was wonderfully bad and corny and my friends and I laughed and loved every second of it! My favorite line from the whole movie was delivered by one of the extras brought in to stand witness in front of the Volturi....
"Woman, if we survive this I'll follow you anywhere."
It's probably not as funny reading it here as it was hearing it in the movie, but trust me---it was awesome.
As the credits rolled they showed pictures of everyone from all of the movies with their names and when they got to the guy who delivered my favorite line I got all excited...
Me: That's that guy!
Terry: What guy?
Me: That guy that we liked.
Terry: Who?
Me: From that show.
Terry: What show?
Me: That show that we liked!
Terry: What?
Me: I don't remember what it was called.
At this point my friend threw her hands in the air before saying,
"You're not helping me any."
Me: Oh, you know, he could touch dead people and bring them back to life.
The show was called Pushing Daisies and the actor's name is Lee Pace. My amazing friend was able to figure that out with my helpful input. lol!
After the movie, we made our way down to The Cheesecake Factory where I was presented with, among other things, a bottle of vodka and a note apologizing for the ghost. Sounds like a perfectly normal birthday present for me, doesn't it? lol!
You see, on my birthday my friend emailed me this picture...
I checked my birthday and learned that I was supposed to play the role of someone trapped in a prison with a ghost. I immediately emailed my friend back and told her to send vodka. For some reason, vodka just seemed like the appropriate beverage to serve when you're trapped in a prison with a ghost.
Being the awesome friend that she is....She got me some vodka! lol!
When we were at dinner there was some random guy there there having dinner all by himself and he was just unlucky enough to get seated at the table beside us. I feel like I owe him several apologies, so here I go....
Dear Random Guy.
I am sorry that you were at The Cheesecake Factory all by yourself on a Friday night. I am sorry that you were forced to sit beside us, but you know, some guys would consider themselves very lucky to be next to us. I am sorry that you had to listen to our conversation. We may not be quiet, but you have to admit we're pretty interesting. I am sorry that at least 75% of my laughter was caused by your reaction to what my friends were saying rather than what they actually said. If it makes you feel better, after you left, our waitress dropped cheesecake on me.
Yes, you guys read that correctly, the waitress dropped cheesecake on me! And.....it was my cheesecake!
The waitress arrived at our table with way more cheesecake than we were going to be able to eat and got distracted before she placed it all on our table. She was standing right beside me and talking to someone behind her so she didn't notice when one of the plates in her hand tilted and the top layer of the cheesecake slipped off and right into my chair.
Luckily for me, I had just leaned forward so most of the cheesecake missed me. My friends and I laughed and laughed as they warned me NOT to sit back in my chair for any reason.
The waitress finished her conversation, wiped most of the dropped cheesecake off of my chair and shirt then hurried off to get another piece.
I woke up this morning and sent my friend a text to say that I was having vodka, cookies
(also part of my birthday present) and cheesecake
(left over from last night) for breakfast. I was just kidding though....I didn't have the cookies. Seriously, I didn't have the vodka either. It was strictly a cheesecake breakfast. lol!
My friend Natalia and I headed out to the Camelot Days Medieval Festival this morning where we met up with some other friends. The festival was rather interesting. My friend Edin summed it up by saying,
"This is so strange. It's all underage girls and weird people." lol! But we still had fun and I even managed to take a couple of photos that I like....
After leaving the Medieval festival, Natalia and I headed south to Coconut Grove and the Mad Hatter's Art Festival. We arrived late in the afternoon and missed most of the daytime activities. It was also too early for the night time festivities, but again I managed to get some photos that I like...
I came home and took a quick shower before heading out to dinner with OCG.
Now, I'm tired and ready for bed and the only plans I have for the rest of the weekend involve eating, sleeping and finding out who made the phone call on The Walking Dead.
