I know I only worked four days this week, but I am still so very glad it's the weekend!

Are you tired yet?

I warned you that I had tons of pictures to share!  Please don't get tired of looking at them until I share some of the pictures I took at abandoned places.

Seriously, once you've seen enough, just let me know.

I have to admit to pulling the pictures up at school and leaving them in the background so I can pretend, even if it's for just a moment, that I'm still on a mountain top and not in a class room at a school that cares more about test scores than students.

I have no idea who this lady is.  She was sitting on her blanket reading a book and would look up every once in a while to take in the view.  It was early in the morning so I'm guessing she had probably watched the sun come up over the mountains.  What an awesome way to start the day!

Prepare yourself!

Prepare to get bored of seeing the pictures from my mini vacation to the North Carolina mountains cause I took about 500 thousand bazillion of them!  Seriously!

It was a wonderful trip and I am rested and relaxed.....but, I still don't want to go back to school.!

I also have so many things to tell you about the trip!  Right now I have to put out an unpaid advertisement for the Tupelo Honey Cafe in downtown Asheville.  (There are other locations, too. So maybe you can find one closer to you.)

Seriously!  Get in your cars and drive there right now!

We arrived about 3PM hoping we would be able to get a late lunch.  There was a 50 minute wait for a table!  That's right, at 3 PM when most restaurants are empty or closed this place still had (or maybe it already had) a 50 minute for a table.

It was completely worth the wait!

Every meal starts with a fresh made southern biscuit with honey and jam.

We shared some shoestring fries with Parmesan Cheese and BBQ Spice.  DELISH!

I had the Cheesy Onion Bisque with Biscuit Croutons.  The soup alone is worth the drive!

I know I should have ordered something unusual and extremely southern as my main dish, but by this time it was four in the afternoon and I hadn't eaten since the free waffle maker in the hotel lobby at breakfast that morning and I wanted a burger!

So, I got a burger and it was also fantastic!

Are you in your car yet?

Seriously, get going!
