I have to share this beautiful layout that April made with you. I've always admired her talent, but now I admire her strength even more. After Charlie passed away I went through a phase where I had to hide all my pictures of him. It just hurt me too much to look at them everyday. April is scrapping her memories and she's sharing many of her memories on her blog. I'm so proud of her!

Sad news

I got some sad news today. My friend April's husband passed away last night. I was able to talk to April on the phone for a few minutes and while she seems to be holding herself together I know that her heart is broken.

If you could send up some prayers of comfort for April I would appreciate it and I know that she would too.

On top of everything else she has going on, April is having trouble with her internet connection. I'm not sure how long it will be before we see a new kit from her, but I know she will check in through her blog as soon as she is feeling up to it. In the mean time, you can check out the kits she already has in her store at Scrap it Sassy.

Post cards, wii & The Tooth Fairy

I don't know who to thank for the great postcards that arrived today because they weren't signed. They were beautiful, all from North Carolina and made me a little homesick for the time that I spent living on Topsail Island. We got cards from the Marine Corp Air Station at Cherry Point, Tryon Palace in New Bern, Cape Lookout Lighthouse & The Outer Banks.

The wii sports resort arrived today and the ladies working in the mail room signed for it so I've got it and I am so happy. I won't be getting much done for the next couple of days because I'll be playing. LOL!

Did you check out April's Tooth Fairy kit yet? One of my students came up to me today and said that he had a loose tooth and I got all excited. I lost most of my excitement though when I saw that the tooth barely even wiggled. Tomorrow I might suggest that he bite into lots of apples. LOL!
