Man, did my much needed long weekend fly by quickly!
It's ok though, because I only have to work for three weeks and I'll be on Christmas break!
Now, if I can figure out how to make those three weeks fly by as quickly as this long weekend did I'll be all set! LOL!

I promise I didn't cook!

How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was awesome, except for the fact that I got sick as a dog!
It hit me about 7:30 Thursday night and I thought I was going to die. (I'm a total wimp when it comes to getting sick!)
I really don't think it had anything to do with the food because
A. I didn't cook anything and
B. I was the only one that got sick.
Chances are, I just finally caught that nasty stomach thingy that was going around school a couple of weeks ago.
Horrible timing, right?
While everyone else hung out I put myself to bed. I slept for a long time and I didn't move one single time during the night. When I woke up the next morning, I was in the same exact position I was in when I crawled into bed the night before.
You have no idea how unusual that is for me! I never stay in one position! As a matter of, it's so unusual that at one point my friends were discussing putting a mirror in front of my face to check to see if I was still breathing. LOL! Yep, that's the kind of friends I have.
Here's the thing, I been really sore around my mid section since it happened. Sore, like it hurts to move sore. I've been dealing with it by hanging out on the couch as much as possible. LOL!
I was explaining the pain to one of my friends today and she said it was probably a result of being sick. I'm not sure if it's from being sick or lying in one position for so long. I just know it hurts!

I'm really late posting this kit!

OK, I'm really late with telling you about the Autumn Breeze kit by Shell Belle Scraps, but maybe that's a good thing. You've probably spent the last couple of days taking lots of pictures and this kit is just what you need to scrap them! Take a look...
Don't you just love those colors? Perfect for those Thanksgiving pictures, right?
There are matching goodies, too...
I used this kit to scrap some of the few pictures I took in North Carolina in October during that historical flooding. LOL! These were all snapped between downpours.
Make sure you check out Autumn Breeze in the Shel Belle Scraps store at Scraps N Pieces!

My Thanksgiving
Download word art here
Font used: Xtreem 2
My Thanksgiving came early this year and I am so happy that it did!
Are there things about my life that I wish were different? ABSOLUTELY!
Are there things that I wish I could have and/or do? DEFINITELY!
Do I have all of the things that I truly need? YES! YES! YES!
I learned on Tuesday that one of the ladies that works at my school wasn't going to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal because she just couldn't afford it. She is a single parent of two with an ex husband who hasn't paid child support in a long time.
It broke my heart!
So, after some online detective work and a phone call to Publix, I was able to order and pay for a completely cooked meal for her family. All she has to do is pick it up and enjoy the day with her kids.
We both cried when I told her!.
On Thursday, when I sit down to dinner with my rag tag group of friends who I love with all my heart. I will be saying an extra prayer of thanks.
I will forever be thankful that I was able to make a difference in someone else's holiday!
Enjoy your day and help someone else if you can.
