No more boiling water for me!

So, the other night I set off the smoke alarm. I was literally trying to boil water!
My microwave took a hit during the move and I've been so busy I haven't had time to pick up a new one. I needed some boiling water to make some Theraflu.
Apparently, feeling so bad that you forgot about putting a pot of water on the stove and then proceed to forget about it isn't a good thing.
So, it's offical!
I CAN'T EVEN BOIL WATER CORRECTLY!
Strangely, I'm ok with it and I'm also not surprised.....not one little bit!

Postcards are arriving!!!!!

The postcards are starting to arrive and my class couldn't be more excited! I really wish I could bottle up their excitement and sell it. We would all be rich!!!!!
Here's what we've gotten so far:
1 card from Jean on Arizona (No stamp was needed. LOL!)

By the way, Jean and Teresa, my students say that you both color like the "big kids". Trust me, that's a HUGE compliment!

Kat, I seriously want to visit your house! Of course, my students have no understanding of what it means to live in a house that was built over 150 years ago. I explained it by saying, "It's really old! Like, older than the principal!" That got their attention! LOL!

I know, I know, I disappeared on you guys again. SORRY!!! It's been a long couple of weeks and I've been fighting a sinus infection.
That's right, the weather hasn't even gotten cold and I'm already sick.
Speaking of the weather, would someone please tell me why it hasn't gotten cold yet? I live in Tennessee now! I shouldn't still be dealing with 90 degree temperatures at 5 PM!

My girl!

The girls in my class outnumber the boys.....by a lot! I have 20 students and only 6 of them are boys. This means that bathroom time lasts FOREVER! It also means that I find myself saying, "That's my girl!" all the time.
Apparently, at least one of my students has been listening because she walked up to me and said...

Field Trip by Shel Belle Scraps

OK, so I'm just as bad at being a CT member as I am at blogging! Luckily, I have a wonderful boss!

Anyway, at the beginning of the month Shel released Field Trip. A kit to use for those pictures of everyone's favorite day of school.....the Field trip days!
This kit has 24 papers and 60 elements and I seriously love it! I'll be using this kit a lot this school year! The best part, is that just like all of Shel's kits you can use it for so many other types of pictures. I made layouts using some of my summer vacation pictures.
Another favorite part of this kit is that if you don't need the whole kit, you can buy just the parts you need....The elements, the paper and/or the title cards.
