Today is the day! I'm leaving for London today! I'll be taking my suitcase to school with me and then we're going to the airport from there. I really, really hope time flies today!

I've got two goodies for you today to celebrate!

I have uploaded and preposted some wordart for you while I'll be gone. I hope that you will be able to find something you can use.

More good news! I went to my follow up appointment with the lung specialist Thursday. He sent me over for yet another chest x-ray, but I got the "All clear"! Thank goodness!

I'll talk to you on the 9th when I return! Have a fun and safe week! I'm off to bed now.

After school on Wednesday they had a cookout for us in the courtyard. It was really nice. Of course, getting our raises would have been better, but free food is always good too. LOL!

Today, I go for my follow up appointment with the doctor. I'm kind of upset because my appointment was supposed to be at 3:30 but it got changed to 11:30 and then 11:00 without anyone telling me. I had asked for an earlier appointment, meaning an earlier day and they knew that at the time. They said that they would call me if they had an appointment open up, but of course they didn't call. Then they tried to tell me that I had some kind of insurance that I don't have. They blamed that on the hospital. I did point out to them that they managed to BILL the correct insurance company. LOL!

The good news is that after today I'll probably never have to see this doctor again. So, I guess I can put up with a little inconvenience to get the all clear before my vacation.

OK, so today was just a normal day until my friend Betty came to lunch. She pulled her phone out to make a quick call and realized that her battery was very low. She got up to use the office phone and her cell phone rang. She ran back to answer it but of course she lost the call because the battery was now completely dead.

She sat through lunch and worried about her phone. She very seriously said, "I just realized that you really do have to charge your phone in order for it to work." Well, being the great friends we are, we laughed at her. LOL! We had to ask just how often she charged her phone and her answer was, "When I think about it." LOL!

You just gotta love Betty!

The end of March already

March was the month I dreaded the most because I knew it was going to be a long one with no days off at school. As it turns out I had lots of time off and the month just flew by. Terry, my friend and the paraprofessional in my class room said that March was the longest month she has experienced since she started working at my school. This is her third year there. LOL!

I feel bad cause I know that she picked up a lot of the slack while I was out, but it is also nice to know that I was missed. LOL! She appreciates me a lot more now! LOL!

I didn't get a good night's sleep last night, so I'm off to bed now. Enjoy your day!

I put together today's wordart back when we were picketing the school board for breaking our contracts. I didn't get my promised raise so the layouts made. LOL!

Today I did something that I haven't done in a loooooong time! I ironed. YUCK! Don't ask me why I thought I needed to iron my clothes before folding them up to put in a suitcase cause I don't have an answer for you. LOL!

Hey, I also cooked today. Well, I kind of cooked...it was frozen chicken that I heated up in the oven. But, I steamed the broccoli all by myself. LOL! If you had any idea just how bad I am at cooking you would know what a big deal that is!

I was going to go out for a walk, but it started raining so I took a nap instead. They said on one of the news breaks that we have a cold front coming. I hope it just brings rain and not cold weather. I can't take any more cold weather! The kids at school all still have colds and I am ready to start wearing a face mask. LOL!

Did you celebrate Earth Hour?

So, did you go dark for one hour? My friends and I turned everything off and sat out by the water. There are solar lights there so we weren't completely in the dark. We watched across the bay as the lights went out in Miami. Of course, there were still some lights on but many got turned off. It was actually a fun way to spend the evening! Maybe we should do this more than once a year!

I didn't accomplish a whole lot today. LOL! I got some laundry done, ran a couple of errands and napped. Oh, and I dug out the passport and threw some more clothes in the suitcase. I'm really wanting Friday to hurry up and get here! Can you tell?
