I found my pass!

I found my resort pass without really looking for it. It was as simple as picking up a box of things I brought home from school and moving it. LOL! I must have placed the resort pass on desk then put the box on top of it without thinking. You know I never would have found it if I had really been looking!

The big topic of conversation at school today beside the number of days left was where we would be getting lunch of Friday. LOL! Looks like it's going to be The Ale House.

I used the pictures we've been taking to make this Luau party page. It's going to be used as the card front the boys in my class get inviting their parents to the party.



The surfboard and water paper are from Shel Belle's Tropical Punch kit. The sand is from a freebie I picked up at JK2X. The beachball and trees were part of the Sunshine Beach Blog Train

The girls gave me a hard time because I didn't get their page finished. LOL! I've been working on it and wishing that we hadn't put the grass skirt on them cuse it makes it so much harder to do the extraction.

Today was a fun day! Beautiful weather and great friends can't be beat. My friends had the grill going and we went out for a boat ride. Too bad the weekend has to end!

I managed to get a few things made for school that the other teachers have been waiting on forever. It will be nice to take everything to school tomorrow and have one less thing to worry about as the school year ends. LOL! The next big project is a slide show that needs to be made and burned onto CD's before the Luau party on June 3rd.

Remember my lost resort pass? Well, once again I forgot all about it until now. LOL! Looks like I'll be asking the guards to let me in the gate for another day. If I don't find it, the association charges $50 for a new one. YUCK! Guess I should really get to looking!

Deanna of Flowerscraps is releasing a kit today called Home Grown. It's a collab that she worked on with Steph of Scrappy Cocoa and it is wonderful! Here's a layout I made with a picture of our hotel room in London. We decided to take pictures before we started throwing our suitcases and clothes all over the place. LOL!

Actually, what I got is more flip flops. Three pairs of them. LOL! You can never have too many flip flops.

I've lost my resort pass again. I used it in the mail room on Wednesday to pick up a package and haven't seen it since. The problem is that I only remember that I've lost it at weird times, like now and when I need to get inside the security gate or when I'm locked out of the building. LOL!

Luckily, the guards on the back gate know me pretty well and let me in. It pays to be nice to them! LOL! So far, there's only been one time that I needed to get in the building and had to wait for someone to come along. Thank goodness the wait wasn't long! A cute guy in a Kinko's shirt was on his way out and held the door for me. Thank you, Kinko's guy!

Anyway, tomorrow's project is to try and find the pass. Wish me luck! If you've got any ideas on where I should look, I'd love to hear them! LOL!

April has got a pretty set in her store called Heavenly Hybiscus. We've been taking pictures of the kids at school for our end of year luau party so I played with her kit a little today...



I also used Flowerscraps portion of A Mother's Moment blog train to scrap one of my London pictures. This statue was in the Imperial War Museum. There was a whole section devoted to the children of World War II. It was a very sad and beautiful part of the museum. There was a gentleman there that had been a child in London during the war. He was with his grandchildren and was pointing things out to them and sharing his memories. His stories actually had my friend Susan and I in tears.



In honor of Mother's Day, Shel Belle Scraps is releasing the first part of a kit today called Mother's Love. It's a beautiful kit with nice soft colors. I used some of the background papers from it to scrap another London Picture. This one was taken in Harrods Department Store and is a statue honoring Princess Diana and Dodi al Fayed.

I am so happy that the weekend is here! I am going to do all the things I have to do then rest and relax the rest of the weekend. Doesn't that sound like fun?

Last week was supposed to be the last week my high school volunteer came, but she came back this week and today was her birthday. We had so much fun picking on her. I took some pictures and hope to get them scrapped this weekend. We have been taking pictures of the kids for a laua setting and made Ms. Katherine wear the grass skirt today. LOL! Thank goodness she has a great sense of humor.

The lunch we ordered in today was great. We all ate so much we about popped. I was so full from lunch that I decided not to go out to dinner with my friends. I just wanted to come home watch this weeks episode of Lost that I TIVOed and take a nap. Isn't my life exciting. LOL!

So in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week The Trump International Beach Resort at Sunny Isles donated 3 special freebie gifts to our school. That was a nice thing for them to do, but we have way more than 3 teachers! So, three names got pulled out of a hat and those three people get appreciated. What about the rest of the teachers? Don't they deserve to get pampered too? I'm betting you can guess that my name wasn't pulled. LOL!

Oh well, the good news is that my name was drawn at Amy W.'s Scrap-A-Lot and I won her NSD Grab Bag. How awesome is that?!? Thanks, Amy!

It's finally Friday! Today's lunch is being ordered from Mario the Baker. People at school just love his lasagna and chicken parm. I like the garlic rolls!

My printer loves me again

After giving my printer a time out it decided to play nice again. Thank goodness! The envelopes are finally printed and I can rest easy tonight. Of course, tomorrow I have to put stamps on all of them and get them in the mail. LOL!

At school we're celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week and I had a parent show up this afternoon with Sundaes from McDonalds for my assistant and myself. She felt bad because she didn't realize my high school volunteer would be there, so she left went back to McD's and got another one for her. How nice was that?!?!
