One of my high school volunteers swears that my southern accent makes me sound like Paula Dean when I talk. I don't see --- or should I say "hear" it. LOL! Anyway, I had some treats that my mom made and I took them to school to share. After she tasted the first snack she said, "See, I know that's your mom on TV. She's a good cook!" We've all gotten a good laugh out of that one, because trust me, I don't have Paula Dean's cooking ability or money. LOL!

I am so happy that this week is almost over I can't stand it! It's been one of those weeks that I wish I had just slept through. Ever had one of those? They aren't any fun!

All this week they've been installing the plastic poles that separate the express lanes from the rest of the lanes on south bound 95. Even though I know that means paying money to ride in those lanes, I'm excited because the express lanes make my drive to and from work so much easier.

For now, the southbound express lanes are free and that means there are people driving in those lanes that won't normally be there. Today there was actually a lady in the express lane driving 30 MPH! She shouldn't even had been on the interstate going that slow! It made for a rather frustrating drive, but eventually the double lanes started and everyone could pass her.

Thanks to a question Ellay asked I realized just how many Christmas presents I still need to buy. I need to get something for the high school volunteers I have. It needs to be something mean. Anyone know where I can pick up some coal? LOL! I also need to pick up something for Orange Croc Guy, but what embarrassing gift can you buy for a guy who already owns a pair of orange crocs? So many decisions to make....

Today was our 70th day of school! Only 110 more til summer vacation. LOL! I stopped at the store this morning to pick up some Zero the Hero treats, but once I was in the store I forgot why I was even there. I walked around and picked up a couple of things that I decided I just had to have. Of course, once I got to school I remembered why I had stopped at the store. LOL!

I ended up running to the Walgreens on the corner during lunch to find some sort of Zero shaped snack. I bought Lifesavors and the kids were not impressed. LOL! I really have to do better for the 80th day!
