New Years Eve
Download Wordart Here
I thought you might like wordart I've used on the quickpages.
So do you have big plans for tonight? I'm lucky enough to have the best view of several different fireworks displays without ever leaving home. Miami is on the other side of the bay so all I have to do is go sit by the pool. There's the water in the bay, the lights from the city and the beautiful fireworks from several different displays. It's a front row seat without the crowd. LOL!
Did you pick up the Bathtime Babies Kit? I still want to see your layouts. April should come along soon and show us her layouts with JoJo and Shaylee. (Hint, Hint, April!) Here's another layout I did with the kit. You'll be able to get this as a quickpage in a couple of days. It's got plenty of room for you to journal.
Here's the blue quickpage. Make sure you visit April and thank her for the wonderful graphics. You can also put a little pressure on her to get those layouts done and show them to us. LOL!

Bathtime
April the Scrapaholic has an adorable set called Bathtime Babies for sell at Scrap it Sassy. The bubbles used in today's wordart are from that set. Gotta give a great big thanks to April for letting me use them in the wordart!
Download Wordart Here
The best part of this kit is that your bathtime baby doesn't really have to be a baby. Just look at my layout...
LOL! Poor doggie! I'd love to see the pages you put together with this kit of your bathtime "babies"! Just look at everything you get...
You're getting a quickpage freebie today that was made using this kit. Today you get a pink page. If you come back tomorrow you'll get the same page in blue.

Prepublished post
OK, my vacation has started! YIPEE! This is the first of several pre-published post that I've set up.
The first goodie for you today uses graphics from April the Scrapaholic's Christmas Time Kit. Hopefully you know someone who deserves to be on Santa's good list.
Download Here
Today's wordart was a request, and I am so sorry that I don't remember who asked for it. I know that it's the first of two requests for someone's husband that spends most of his time in the garage "playing" with his old car. Well, I bet that doesn't narrow it down too much. LOL! Anyway, I hope you can use it.

Finally Friday
It's almost vacation time! YIPEE!! Since I'll be going out of town on Saturday, I've prepublished several give aways that will start on Saturday. Some days it will be the normal daily wordart and other days there will also be goodies made using graphics from Deanna and April. Make sure you visit the girls and let them know how much you like their graphics!
I finally got a Wii. It's one of my Christmas presents. I spent way more time then I should have getting it set up tonight. LOL! Orange Croc guy usually helps with things like this but he's out of town until Saturday and I'm leaving on Saturday so I just couldn't wait. Anyway, it's all set up and I'm just as bad at playing tennis using Wii as I am at playing it for real. LOL! Tomorrow I am going to get the Wii fit set up. Yes, I'm going to set it up and then go out of town. LOL!
I had a fun two days of Christmas parties at school. Yesterday was for the entire school and today's party was just for our building. FUN!
Now, we're already thinking about spring break. Last year we went to Paris. It looks like this year may be a trip to London. I am so lucky to work with the people I do. Not everyone wants to travel with their coworkers.
OK, I really need to get some sleep now. Have a great day!

Lots of goodies!
I am so excited! I'm actually finished with everything I need to finish for Christmas. Well, everything except packing my bags for the trip to NC on Saturday. LOL! Most of the things I had to do were things I offered to do. So, that's where today's wordart comes in. I'm sure you've felt this way before too.

I've got two QP freebies for you today. A big thanks to April Cotton and Deanna Jones for allowing me to use their graphics on freebies for you. Not only are these ladies extremely talented, they are also extremely nice and I am proud to call them my friends.
The first QP uses graphics from Deanna's portion of the Christmas Around the World Blog Train. The graphics are available until the end of December so make sure you go by Deanna's Blog and pick them up.
You can get the 8x8 QP by clicking on the link below the preview.

The second QP uses graphics from April the Scrapaholic's Jolly Ol'St. Nick I fell in love with this Santa the first time April showed him to me.

Surprises
This is the time of year when the mail is full of surprises---Christmas cards, presents, letters from friends that you haven't seen in years. Mostly, the surprises are good and leave you with a smile on your face. But, every now and then, there's a not so nice surprise waiting for you in the mailbox. Today, I received one of those not so nice surprises---a jury summons. LOL!
It's for January 7th---the first day back at school after Christmas vacation. I've got a pretty high juror number so maybe I'll get lucky and not have to report. I haven't been summoned in a couple of years so I guess I can't complain---too much.
Today's wordart is the result of a recent conversation I had with my mother. Please, don't tell her that I admitted she was right! LOL!

For June
Man oh man, are the kids excited this week! I hope I can survive the rest of the week. LOL!
I got my first Secret Santa present today. It was a cute little candy cane holder. Of course, I have no idea who pulled my name out of the hat. It's not because I haven't been trying to figure it out, though. LOL!
Today's wordart is a request. It's similar to one that I gave earlier, but I think that I like this one better. So,June, I hope it's what you wanted and I hope that there are others that can use it too.

Busy Week
I'm sorry I didn't get anything posted for Sunday. After spending Saturday waiting around for the FedEx guy I had tons of things to do.
The FedEx guy showed up around 6:00 PM Saturday and I really wanted to be angry with him for not leaving my package on Friday, but my heart wasn't in it. I could tell he was majorly stressed out! I told him that I had heard he had a bad day on Friday and got his version of what happened with the packages. I know the truth is somewhere in the middle. but the important thing is that I did get my package. So, all is well in my world.
We're heading into the last week of school before Christmas vacation and I am so excited! This week is going to be spent doing projects and making presents. I'm so excited!
Hope you can use today's wordart. Download here

A message for Pegg
I received your note about the misleading freebie, but you left me no way of getting in touch with you. I hope that you'll see this post.
Digifree uses a computer program to scan thousands of blogs. It makes a best guess as to what it thinks may be a freebie offered on the blog. Sometimes, like today, it picks up the wrong image. I have never advertised anything from my blog. As a matter of fact, it says in my header that I offer wordart.
I have also left Digifree for a blog thinking that I was going to pick up a certain freebie only to find that it wasn't being offered. I have also been disappointed. Sadly it happens, but Digifree is a wonderful blog that gets it right most of the time. That's pretty awesome for a computer program that can't actually "see" the pictures on all of the blogs that it scans.

It snowed in Miami
Ok, so it didn't really snow. LOL! We had fun pretending it did today while we took winter themed pictures. Everyone at school laughed at me when I went out searching for a snow sled, but everyone came around today to take pictures with it today. It was fun and the pictures turned out so cute. Here's a quick layout I did with one of the pictures...
The snowglobe is from April the Scrapaholic and so is the background paper. She still has her stuff on sell for a couple more days. Make sure you go check it out! You can click on the previews below to go to her store at Scrap it Sassy.
The FedEx guy stole my package! ~LOL~ The FedEx guy came by while I wasn't home and left a door tag saying that he left my package in the mailroom. I go down to visit the ladies in the mailroom and find out that they don't have my package. They said that the FedEx guy got mad at them and left with all the packages---including mine! Apparently, he got to the mail room close to their closing time and they asked him to come earlier in the future because of the paperwork they have to fill out when signing for packages of residents. Well, instead of saying "OK" or promising to come earlier he just got mad and left with the packages. Now I have to wait another day for my package and I really want to know what is in it.
You gotta think that the guy's going to be mad at himself when he realizes that on top of his normal deliveries he has to come back and redeliver the packages he took away today. Serves him right! The Grinch should have left my package! LOL!
Anyway, I'm offering today's wordart in honor of the FedEx guy cause sometimes you just gotta laugh!

Have a great day. I'll be spending it waiting on my package!

Today I learned that one of my online friends passed away. If you ever hang out at AimeeAsher you know who I'm talking about. DebD, was a wonderful lady that went out of her way to be friendly to everyone. The forum at AimeeAsher just got a little quieter and a lot lonelier. Deb is greatly missed already.
I'm heading back to work after staying home sick. I know I should just stay home since it's Friday, but the big kids are putting on a Christmas play and I just don't want to miss it. LOL! Right now I need all the help I can get when it comes to getting into the Christmas spirit.
I played around with April's new kit, Jolly Ol' St. Nick today. It's the cutest kit and right now you can buy it for only $3.00.
Here's a preview of what's in the kit...
And here's the page I made today...
Today is the first day of a new blog train called Christmas Around the World and I was lucky enough to get to play with Deanna "Flower Scraps" part of the kit before hand. It's awesome! I put together three scrap pages and I didn't come anywhere near using all the elements or papers she included. Here are the pages I made...
Now, you can click on the preview below to go to Deanna's blog and grab her contribution and get the links to the other blogs on the train. Enjoy the ride!
Don't forget to pick up today's wordart!
Now, I am off to get some sleep. Enjoy your day!

For Toby
I woke up this morning with a horrible case of the yuckies. So, I'm home today coughing and sneezing and napping. Don't you just hate using your sick days when you're really sick? LOL!
Anyway, it's given me time to catch up on some requests that I've received. This one is for Toby, who was kind enough to let me play with her snow picture. You can pick it up here
Changing weather
What a beautiful day! The temperature was in the 80's. Now, they are saying that we have another cold front heading our way. All this means is that we've got lots of sick kids at school! LOL! That's the reason for today's wordart. You can pick it up here.
I spent a little more time playing with April's kit. It's called Chris's Rustic Cowboy and it's on sell for $3.00 now. It's an awesome set! Here's what I did today.
April's also got a set of quick pages that she made with this set and they are adorable! You can go check them out here. They're also on sell so you get 4 12x12 quickpages for $1.50. How cool is that!
OK, it's time for me to go to bed. Enjoy your day!
