I don't know what happened to the rest of my post yesterday, but you guys missed my stories of the day and the rest of my photos from the abandoned tourist trap.
You missed the story about how I went out with two of my friends to look for "interesting" things to photograph and we all had a different idea of what "interesting" means.
I was looking for abandoned places. Friend number 1 was looking for landscape photos and friend number 2 wanted to photograph "pretty" things.
Abandoned buildings are pretty too! In their own sad and lonely way...
You missed the story about how I was behind this building trying to get a shot when I walked into a rusted fence that had fallen down. Little Miss "Pretty Things" announced, "Great, now you're going to get hepatitis and die!" I laughed it off because even though it hurt I wasn't cut or anything and said, "At least I got the shot."
Seriously though, can you get hepatitis from an old rusted fence?
You missed the story about how we moved on to the next abandoned place and after walking into a spider web I screamed and left. Little Miss "Landscape Photos" laughed at me saying, "You're scared of a spider web but not the infectious disease you could get from a rusted fence?"
For the record, I am NOT scared of spider webs. I'm scared of the spiders that live in them.
Seriously though, is hepatitis infectious? I do have a bruise where I hit the fence.
You missed the warning about all the abandoned photos I have to share with you guys cause other than this building we also found an abandoned apartment building, two other buildings, a house and a motel. It was a fun day!
You missed the story about how we were headed back to Miami when I suddenly turned the car around around because I saw a fireplace. Literally.....I saw a fireplace...
You kind of have to turn the car around when you see something like that and you have a camera. I'm pretty sure it's the law!
You missed the story about how as I making last night's post I started getting text messages from another one of my friends saying that they were making an imaginary fight bracket and that I had lost to her in the first round. Then she proceeded to send additional texts letting me know how the totally imaginary fights were going.
Her final text was..."It was intense. Took us over an hour to complete."
I'm guessing someone had more than one cocktail at dinner!
Anyway, here are the rest of the photos you missed yesterday...
Watch out for rusty things! LOL I enjoy your photos and stories behind them. Thank you for the word art.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you caught us up - I'd hate to have missed these great photos...wish I could have tagged along with you.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures and the story. Hope there were no alligators left wandering around from the alligator building ;) Thanks for the word art.
