On Monday, March 1, Stuff to Scrap is unveiling a new forum and gallery! To get the new digs going there are going to be lots of fun activities that day. I hope you'll check it out and have lots of fun for me since I'll be at work.

Rainy Day

Why does it always start raining right before recess and right before afternoon dismissal? It never fails and it makes for very long days when you teach Kindergarten. Not to mention that I had after school meetings yesterday and today. YUCK!

It's raining outside right now and the temperature is supposed to drop down to the low 50's maybe upper 40's tonight. Again ~ YUCK!

I've got my fingers crossed that we'll have warm dry weather for our Kindergarten Olympics on Friday.

I remembered to take everything I needed for the sherbet today and it was a hit. Now everyone is trying to think of all the different flavored soft drinks that might taste good once turned into ice cream. LOL!

We also had air today, which was nice! Now they're saying that the temperatures are going to drop again at the end of the week. YUCK! I can't believe how many cold days we've had this year!

Now I'm going to get some sleep. Enjoy your day!

I promised one of the girls I work with that I would bring in my ice cream maker and make a batch of orange sherbet for her to try. Well, I completely forgot about it on Friday and today I took in everything but the part that goes in the mixer to blend everything together. LOL! Today would have been a good day for the orange sherbet too because we had no air conditioning and it was rather warm in the building.

I've already got the missing part sitting by my purse so I won't forget it tomorrow.

If you've got an electric ice cream maker and have never tried making orange sherbet you should. All you need is an orange Sunkist soda (Any orange soda will do) and a can of sweetened condensed milk. Sounds gross, but I promise it's good! I'll let you know what the girls at school think about it tomorrow.

Now, I'm going to get some sleep.

It's hard to believe that another weekend is over and I have to go back to work. YUCK! At least this should be a fun week. On Friday we're having Kindergarten Olympics and if my class uses just half the energy they have in class, we should do pretty well. LOL!

Today, I pulled out the January's Promise kit by Carol's DigiScrap Creations and made this layout.



January's Promise is such a pretty kit. I really haven't used it enough.

How do you...

When you find yourself in a slump how do you get out of it? I'm in a slump now. I'm tired. I'm stressed. I need a vacation. I have so many pictures that I need to scrap and I just don't feel like messing with them.

Isn't that bad? The thing that relaxes me the most is the last thing I want to do now.

Oh well, maybe I'll feel better after I hit happy hour tomorrow. LOL! Enjoy your day.

So, I thought that I was having a bad day until I heard from my friend Nita. She woke up very early this morning to a house that was full of smoke. They had an electrical fire. Thank goodness they woke up and got out safely. She has some cleaning to do and a house to get repaired, but they all are safe and that's what matters most.

It's crazy how quickly things can change. You go to bed and everything is fine. 5 hours later, you wake up and your house is on fire. Nita was so upset, she couldn't even tell me how cute the firemen were. LOL!

I'm off to get some sleep now. Enjoy your day!

100 Days of School

On February 4th we celebrated our 100th day of school! Shel made celebrating that day even more fun for me by creating this awesome kit...



Even though the theme of the kit is the first 100 days of school, it's perfect for other layouts too---The first day of school, science fairs, fall and spring festivals, class parties and projects, etc... It's also a wonderful compliment to the kit Shel made for the 100th day last year...



Both kits are in Shel's store at Stuff to Scrap and they are both on sale now!

I've put together a couple of layouts so far. I've got lots of pictures of this day though, so I know I'll be using the kit lots and lots! This first layout shows some of the kiddos eating their 100 day snack...



This layout is a group picture I took after our 100 step walk. We didn't end up at the beach like the kids hoped. LOL!

We celebrated Valentine's Day at school on Friday and it was fun. One of my students came to class with an open bag of potato chips and potato chip crumbles all around her mouth. She told me the potato chips were for our party, but that she had no idea how the bag got opened. LOL!
