I used to say this to my kids as they were growing up and just wanted to be older. They would roll their eyes in annoyance. Now that they are adults and have adult challenges, I remind them of when they couldn't wait to grow up. They still roll their eyes but this time at themselves and not me. Full circle, I guess you could say!
