I'm home...

I'm home. I'm not happy about it, but I'm home!
We are supposed to be at the hot air balloon festival in Franklin, Tennessee, but it was postponed because of the weather. BOO!
It was just going to be a quick weekend get away, but I was really looking forward to it.
OCG talked to the hotel and they wont refund our money, but they've given us a credit that we can use once the festival is rescheduled and/or we decide to reschedule our mini trip.
We decided against going ahead and making the drive this weekend, because we didn't want to go if the weather isnt going to be good. Now, if the guy at the hotel hadn't been kind enough to work with us, I would probably be sitting in a hotel room right now. LOL
Instead, I'm sitting in my own bedroom and there's a pretty good chance I'm going to stay here until I have to go back to work on Monday.

The honesty of kids...

So, the other day I was sitting with a couple of students in my class and we were talking. I honestly don't remember what question I asked, but apparently I went too far because suddenly one of the girls said....
"Now you all up in my business.
I was all like, "What did you say?" and she was all like, "That's what my auntie always says to me."
I decided to move on and talk to some other kids.
One girl was proud of the new watch she was wearing and asked, "Ms. Brown, do you want to come with me to Walmart? That's where I got my watch."
I was all like, "Girl, your mom's spending too much money on you!" and she was all like, "My momma didn't buy this! I stole it!"
I decided to stop talking to my students and go sit by myself.
...And people think that teaching PreK is easy...
