Don't worry, be happy

There are eight more school days until Christmas vacation. Not that I'm counting or anything. LOL!

Yesterday, I was feeling overwhelmed with everything I've got going on and I wasn't much fun to be around. My friends took me out for some much needed margarita therapy. You know, that's the best therapy there is, don't you? We all compared stories and offered suggestions that would probably cause all of us to lose our jobs.

We were having a good time and laughing so loudly that people from other tables joined in on our conversation. It was an awesome night and I was once again reminded of what a wonderful circle of friends I have. No matter how bad the day, they can always cheer me up.

Anyway, today's quote is a toast that my friend Kevin gave while we were out. You can pick it up here and I hope that you can use it for something.

Wasted day & memories

Well, I kind of wasted this day. I finished up an order I had for 150 wrapped candy bars and then spent the rest of the day doing pretty much nothing. It was great! Although, I am worried that I'm starting to have way to many lazy days. Trust me, I've got plenty that I should be doing!

I have people make fun of my North Carolina accent all the time even though I don't think I have one. LOL! I let them know that although I may sound like a country girl, I am a city girl through and through! Even as a young girl growing up in that small NC town I just knew that I was supposed to live in the city. So, imagine my surprise when I grew up moved to Miami and fell in love with a cowboy. When Charlie was alive, he always owned horses and if I had ever asked him to choose the horses or me, there's no doubt that he would have chosen the horses. He even rode out a hurricane in his truck, out in the pasture, once because he had gone to check on the horses and lost track of time. I was worried and he just laughed it off. Thank goodness we didn't take a direct hit from that storm!

Needless to say, those horses caused more than one argument! At the time it drove me crazy, but now I would give anything to be able to listen to him explain why the horses needed this or that. April the Scrapaholic has got an awesome set called Chris' Rustic Cowboy that I just had to play with. The set is on sale for 50% off! Here's a simple layout I did using one of the background papers and frames:

Ok, it's bedtime for me. Two more weeks of work then two weeks of vacation. I can make it!

Beautiful Day

I can't even begin to tell you how beautiful this day was! I went to a party today for a friends daughter. She had her Sweet 16. It wasn't as big or outrageous as the parties you see on MTV, but it was pretty close. She was happy and he was proud and a good time was had by all. She was given a day that she will never forget and I guess that's all that matters.

I actually put this wordart together a while back, but today seems like a good time to post it. So, you can pick it up here.

I did it!

I paid to ride in the express lane this morning. It costs me 25 cents. LOL! They've been working on adding the express lanes to southbound 95. Meanwhile, the traffic is a mess. Today it was awful! I would have gladly paid $6.25 or even $625to use express lanes on the way home today. LOL!

Here's the link to today's wordart. Hope someone can use it. Enjoy your weekend!

The end of the week is here!

The week is ending and the weather is warming back up! Thank goodness!

I've been busy making wrappers for the husband of a friend of mine to give to his patients. Here's a simple one I made using April's Winter Wonderland Kit Remember, she's still got that awesome sell going on!

Photobucket

You can download this wrapper here. Minus Kenny's name, of course. By the way, if you happen to be one of his patients, would you please act like you've never seen this? LOL!

Today's wordart was made after my friend, Denise, took her daughter shopping last weekend and did her very best to save the economy. LOL! You can download it here

I'm going to bed now. Yes, I'm still fighting that cold and I think the cold is winning. Enjoy your Friday!

Still Cold

I'm telling you, we've already had more cold days this year then we had all last winter and it's just the beginning of December. We broke out the hot chocolate at school again today. I'm just making a quick post now so that I can give you Thursday's wordart andgo to bed. It's an early night for me, but I am tired!

I did want to show you another page I made using a mixture of papers from April the Scrapaholic's Thanksgining & Christmas kits. If you want the wordart you can still pick it up here

Now, here's today's wordart. I thought it might be cute for any Christmas messes you have to scrap. Last year, my friend's tree fell over twice. LOL!
