Happy Memorial Day!

Download wordart here

We had another cloudy and rainy day so I spent almost an hour on the wii fit which is probably a good thing since I had key lime pie for breakfast. LOL!

We're having a big Memorial Day cookout/party where I live. I hope the sun shines long enough for it to be fun. Or at least long enough for me to get some free food. LOL!

Here's an extra goodie for you...

I love long weekends!

Download wordart here

We had rain today, but not as much as yesterday. I spent the morning hitting up some of the weekend sales before the clouds moved in during the afternoon. I took advantage of the cloud cover and napped. LOL!

I scrapped another picture from my London trip. This is a piece of the Berlin Wall that stands in front of the Imperial War Museum. The graphics are from April's Blushing Buttercups kit.

Here's a preview of the beautiful kit. It's available in April's store at Scrap it Sassy...

While you're checking out this kit, you should also look these other cute kits that April has just added to her store.

You should also visit April's blog to pick up this adorable QP she made using her Baby Girl Kit. It's free!

Carol's Rainbow Connection kit is so much fun to work with! Here's another layout I made today...

This kit has endless possibilities and I just love it!

While working on the end of year video I came across lots of pictures that I forgot I had even taken! I'm having fun catching up and scraping them all. Here's one I made using Shel Belle's Memorial Day Kit. The picture is of my Assistant Principal as she made her vote during our election day back in November. I have no idea if she voted for pizza or ice cream, but I know I voted for ice cream. LOL!

You can get the mini Memorial Day kit on Shel's blog along with some beautiful quick and brag book pages. Make sure you check them out!

Here's today's extra wordart from the I Hope You Dance Song...

Rain, rain, go away!

Download wordart here

Man, did we ever have a rainy day! I'm really hoping it clears up and we have a beautiful weekend like the weatherman promised we would. But then again, I will probably get a lot more done if it does rain all weekend. LOL!

I showed the finished movie I made to the other teachers and got their seal of approval. We also wanted the kids to see it and of course they think they're movie stars now. I thought it was cute the first time I watched it through and was proud of the job I did, but after viewing it for what seems like a gazillion times it's not so cute to me anymore. LOL!

I've been lucky enough to join another CT! On top of the wonderful graphics I get to work with for April, Deanna, and Shel, I also get to work with Carol Marion's graphics. I must be the luckiest girl in the world!

I've been using Carol's Rainbow Connection kit to play with Chrissy's prom pictures. Chrissy is my friend's daughter and she is a nice as she is beautiful. She graduates from high school this year and has decided to go to the University of South Florida in Tampa. She also got accepted at the University of Miami and the University of Hawaii. She decided that Hawaii was too far away and that UM was a no go because her sister goes there. LOL! Anyway, here's one of the LOs I made...

Here's a preview of the kit...

Carol sells her kits at Moo Two Designs and Desired Designs ~n~ Scraps.

I've also been using parts of her Aloha Kit for some of my end of year projects since we decided to go with a luau theme. The kit is awesome and Carol gave away some add-on freebies to it on her blog. Here's the preview...

I've got another share for you today from the I Hope You Dance song...

I crossed one more thing off the to do list!

Download wordart here

I've been working on the little video for our end of year program using Microsoft's Movie Maker. Instead of doing it at home, I've only worked on it at school. BIG MISTAKE! I promise that I saved it as I worked, but the computer had a mind of it's own. I would go in and find big red X's where I had pictures the day before. I guess that's what I get for working on it in my spare time.

Anyway, today I decided that I wasn't leaving school until it was completed with at least one copy burned onto a CD or I had thrown the computer out the window. I told everyone that if they found me in my room wearing the same clothes tomorrow not to be surprised. LOL!

There was one time that I got a message that the computer wasn't responding and then all the pictures I had imported turned to red X's and more then once I tried to add pictures to find the files I had uploaded the pictures to were empty. When I went into my documents the pictures were there. The computer just didn't know what it was talking about. LOL!

Anyway, long story short, once I was able to sit down without interruption it didn't take all that long to finish. The computer survived and I didn't have to spend the night at school. Thank goodness!

I used two songs on the movie, Rod Stewart's Forever Young and Lee Ann Womack's I Hope You Dance. The songs made me want to make some more wordart to share so here's an extra one for you today...

I've got more to share so watch for extras the next couple of days. Now, I'm going to sleep. Enjoy your day!

It's all about food!

Download wordart here

I guess I went to bed still craving something sweet since the blueberry muffins were a little less than spectacular. LOL! I dreamed I was at some kind of meeting and there were donuts. I was waiting in line to get one of the donuts and just as I was about get one the alarm went off and woke me up. I hit the snooze button so that I could go back to sleep and get the stupid donut----5 times! LOL! I wish I were joking, but I'm not. I don't know why I didn't just get up then stop for a real donut on my way to work cause the going back to sleep thing didn't work. I didn't fall back into the same dream. Story of my life....LOL!

On a brighter note, We've finally decided where Friday's lunch is coming from---Pasha's. I'm ordering the Filet Mignon Shish Kebab. It's no donut, but it will do. LOL!

Go by Shel Belle Scraps and pick up her cute Memorial Day Mini Kit. I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but I've got a preview for you to see...

It's bedtime for me. Enjoy your day!

Another Cooking Experience

Download wordart here

Apparently I slept through some serious rain last night! The lower lobby of my building was flooded this morning and I got my new flip flops wet. BUMMER! There was even standing water in the parking garage. Glad I slept through the storms!

Tonight I was craving something and I just couldn't figure out what I wanted so I started searching through the cabinets. I found a packet of blueberry muffin mix that had been part of a Christmas basket I received. It was the kind that you only have to add water to and I thought that maybe I could handle that. LOL! Well, I mixed the powder and water and went to turn on the oven. It only took me a moment to figure out that I had turned on the stove instead of the oven. No kidding!

Then I went digging through the unused pots and pans for the muffin pan only to remember that I had taken it to school years ago to be used in one of the centers. The little muffin sections make it perfect for the kids to use when sorting things. LOL!

So, I found a bundtlette pan that must have been a present from my mother so many years ago that I can't even remember getting it. It's used to make mini bundt cakes and I've never made one of those so it was still sitting unopened and unused in the box.

I poured the mix into the bundtlette pan, popped it into the oven and set the oven timer. Well, they looked cute when I took them out of the oven. They weren't cooked in the middle but the top and bottom parts didn't taste too bad. LOL! Next time, I think I'll just stick with the cookies!

I have one more layout using Flowerscraps The Old Swing Kit to show you. If you haven't gone by her blog to pick it up make sure you get it soon!

My buddy April has returned from vacation and posted an adorable QP freebie on her blog for you. Here's a preview for you to see...

She used her Dainty Dandelions Kit to make the QP. I played with it tonight to and this is what I came up with...

You can have my layout as a QP too. So go here to pick up April's QP and go here to pick up mine.

I'm tired and going to bed now. Enjoy your day!

I promise I wasn't drinking!

Earlier tonight I decided to get comfortable on the bed and do some things while I watched TV. That way if I fell asleep I would already be in bed. Well, the phone rang and I wasn't close enough to the nightstand to just pick it up so I rolled over to get it. However, I kept rolling and rolled off the bed and onto the floor. I didn't get get hurt or anything but it took me a minute or two to get back up because I was laughing at myself. I never did answer the phone. LOL!

It looks like we're going to have a rainy week. YUCK! Hurricane season doesn't even start until June 1st and they're already watching a system. I just love how the local channels always make it seem much worse than it is. But....maybe we can get out for the summer even earlier....LOL!

Here's another layout I made using Flowerscraps The Old Swing Kit. I played with the transparency on three of the background papers to put this together.

OK,I'm off to bed now. Enjoy your day!
