Wouldn't you just know it!

So, after baking those Nestles cookies and eating them for the last two days I find out that they've been recalled. See, this is why I don't cook! This is why I should just stay boring! LOL!

I baked the cookies and I haven't gotten sick yet so I'm sure I'm OK. Even if I do get sick they tasted so good that it was totally worth it! LOL! However, the next time I want cookies.....it's back to the bakery for me! LOL!

If you haven't heard about the recall yet you can read about it here.

The guys went fishing today and came home with lots of goodies so we all got together and had a grilled fish dinner. Orange Croc Guy was in charge of the grill and he's a much better cook than I am! I offered to bring what was left of the cookies I baked but no one was interested. They said that they wouldn't even eat them if the dough hadn't been recalled. LOL! I've got such loving and supportive friends.

I reached a milestone on the wii fit today. My piggy bank turned GOLD! That means I've finally worked out for more than 40 hours. YIPPEE! I was going to celebrate with a cookie, but Nestles ruined that for me. LOL!

To go along with the bad news from Nestles I decided to add a countdown to the first day of school at the bottom this page. YUCK! Why can't I be rich?!?! Why can't summer vacation last forever?!?! LOL!

I'm going to bed now. Enjoy your day!

Back to being boring

After all the excitement (Cough, Cough) I had yesterday I had to rest up today. I actually slept until 10:30 and I only got up then because the phone rang. The call was a recorded message from my principal letting us know that our school was given a grade of "A" by the state. YIPPEE! We've been an "A" school in the past, but last year it dropped to a "B". Needless to say, we're all happy today!

Since I slept so late today, I'm wide awake now. So, I'm going to go crawl in bed and read for awhile. Hopefully, I'll fall to sleep soon. Enjoy your day!

I tried not to be boring today

I tried not to be boring today, but I'm not sure I succeeded. LOL! It was hard to sleep last night because a bad lightning storm came through and I hate lightning storms. I couldn't really hear the thunder because the storm windows pretty much block the sound, but even with the blinds closed and curtains the room was lighting up from the lightning. I know---I'm a baby!

When I got on the wii fit today I finally changed the Super Hula Hoop from 6 minutes to 10. I hate the super Hula Hoop so that's a big deal. I even earned 4 stars! YEA!

I managed to bake some cookies today without setting off any smoke alarms. OK, so they were the Nestles that you only have to break apart and bake, but I still did it all by myself!

I walked to the post office and mailed a package. Then I came home and rested up from all the exciting things I did today. LOL!

I'll probably still be resting tomorrow too. LOL! Now I'm going to get some sleep. Enjoy your day!

I got a phone call today from a friend of mine in NC who wanted to know why my blog has been so boring lately. LOL! After I finished laughing at her, I explained that if she were reading it everyday she would know that it's been boring because I've been boring. It's hard to make lying around doing nothing all day sound exciting. It's boring, but it sure is fun! LOL!

Today I'm giving you the candy bar wrapper I made with Shel's Summer Sun kit. I left the back blank so you can put your own information or saying. Here's what it looks like...

I did something today!

I actually did something today! I cleaned out a closet that REALLY needed to be cleaned out. I threw out some things and have some things bagged up to take to Goodwill. Aren't you proud of me? Now I can open that closet door and not worry that something is going to fall on my head. LOL!

I wanted to share another layout I made using Deanna's portion of the Beach House kit...

Make sure you visit Deanna's blog again today for another part of this awesome kit. Then go visit Nicole's blog to pick up her goodies.

Shel has also posted another part of her Summer Sun kit for you to pick up. Here's another LO I made with her awesome kit...

If you come back tomorrow I'm giving you a candy bar wrapper I made with this kit. It's perfect to use as an invitation for a summer pool party or to give as a thank you to someone that invited you to a summer party.

April has posted another QP freebie on her blog. She made a 40 and Fabulous QP using her Over the Hill kit. As soon as I find some of the pictures we took of my friend Betty I'm going to use this kit and make a LO for her. LOL!

Now, I'm going to get some sleep. I'm tired from all that cleaning I did today. LOL! Enjoy your day!

Summer Sun

Well, I tried to not be so lazy today, but it didn't work out. I had every intention of giving my house a good summer cleaning, but I really HATE cleaning. So, when I got the chance to go shopping and out to lunch I took it. Can you blame me?!? LOL!

Then when I got home there was a marathon of last season's Army Wives on and I wasn't sure if I had missed an episode or not so I decided I should watch just to be safe. Well, I had seen all of them but better safe then sorry! LOL!

When it comes to cleaning....there's always tomorrow. Oh who am I kidding, I'll make up some other lame excuse not to do it tomorrow. LOL!

Today Shel Belle Scraps is releasing a great summer kit called Summer Sun. It's just too cute! Take a look at this...

I can't remember if I shared these layouts that I made with Carol's Aloha Kit or not so I'm going to show them to you now. Sorry if you've already seen them!

I've had so much fun with this kit! Here's the preview...

You can pick Aloha up at Moo Two Designs or at Cool Scraps Digital and it's on sale now too.

April added the girl version of her birthday kit to her store at Scrap It Sassy. It's full of pinks and purples and just screams little girl! Here's the preview for you to see...

She was also kind enough to make a freebie QP using the kit and it's on her blog now, but you've got to go pick it up before she takes it down so go check it out!
