I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am that the weekend is here! Although this week did go by quickly, I'm still not feeling my best and need the rest that the weekend will bring. Actually, I don't know how much rest I'll get because I've got to catch up on lots of projects that I've put off this week. At least I'll be home and can nap when I want. LOL!

Now, just to give you an idea of how bad my sinus infection has been I have to tell you what happened today. After the kids had been in class for about an hour the high school volunteers showed up and asked me why the room smelled so bad. I couldn't smell anything! I had noticed that some of the kids were holding their nose and waving their hands, but they're 5 and they do that when...well, I'm sure you can figure out when and why they do that. LOL! I pulled out the air freshner and sprayed the room. I couldn't smell the air freshner either. LOL!

A little later the ESE teacher came in and she immediately asked if someone had had a bathroom accident. Again, I pointed out that I just couldn't smell anything. We both started casually doing a little private investigating to see if we could locate the source of the smell. She was using her nose and I was using my eyes.

Right about the time I noticed brown footprints on the carpets one of the kids that was playing under his table instead of doing the work that was on his table called out that he had found where the smell was coming from. He pointed out a brown pile that was by another kids chair.

It turns out that one of my kids had walked into class after stepping into a very fresh present from someone's dog and unlike everyone else in the room---I never smelled a thing. LOL!

I spot cleaned the floor, rolled up the carpets until someone could come clean them, took his shoe outside and cleaned it off. The whole time I was actually a little happy that I had been sick and still couldn't smell anything. LOL!
