I promise this is a true story!

You know those things that happen to you that you're afraid no one will believe? Well, this is one of those things!

We had open house at school Thursday night. I live just far away from my school that isn't worth fighting the traffic to go home then back to school, so I just hang out and work in my room until it's time for parents to show up.

Well, I'm getting my usual back to school cold (one of the perks of teaching kindergarten lol!) and have been really tired this week. I decided to run out around 4:30 to do some errands and pick up some dinner. I made two stops before I foolishly decided to face the crowd at Wal Mart in order to pick up some Cuban crackers I wanted for the cooking/food project at school.

I think I've shared my lack of love for Wal Mart before so I won't waste time going there again, but I really do hate that place. LOL! I'm moving around/through the crowds of people as quickly as I can so I can get out of there before totally losing my cool. Suddenly, I hear this man talking very loudly and excitedly. I wrote it off as just another crazy person at the Wal Mart and kept moving.

I noticed that the voice was getting closer to me and finally turned around to see what was going on. The man seemed to be heading right for me and even though he was smiling I was kind of worried. I wish I could tell you that I took off running or even that I whipped out some mace and struck a Charlie's Angels pose to scare the man off, but I can't. Instead, I just stood there staring at this crazy man who seemed to be yelling at me and wondered why in the heck I had decided to go into that store. Seriously, Cuban crackers---not that important!

Well, I'm not sure exactly why I realized who the man was, but it probably has something to do with not understanding what he was saying. Yep, it was the taxi driver I had when my car broke down. The one who talked constantly and I just agreed with him because I didn't understand what he was saying.

Over 2 million people live in Dade County and I run into that taxi driver. lol! Plus, just think of all the people that get in and out of that taxi and he remembered me. Gross!

Men are too funny!

Orange Croc Guy shows up tonight and says he needs his emergency key. I laugh at him for locking himself out as he safely tucks the key away in his pocket. The next thing I know he is laughing and saying, "I got you! I got you!"

Turns out he finally found and reclaimed the last high score on his wii games. Honestly, I had forgotten all about that! I really didn't know he was still trying to reclaim his number one spot. LOL!

So, he reclaimed his spot and got his emergency key to keep me from going back in and messing with his games again. Well, I couldn't mess with his games so I decided to mess with him!

ME: Ok, big deal, you've got your key. Would you also like the copies I made of it?
OCG: Copies? You made copies? Like, more then one...of my house key?
ME: Have you forgotten that the very first words I ever said to you were, "I promise I'm not stalking you."?
OCG: You've got to be kidding. You wouldn't really make copies would you?
ME: It's like Two and a Half Men except you live alone, this isn't Malibu and my name isn't Rose.
OCG: I think I'll just change the locks.
ME: Well, that would slow me down a little, but it won't stop me. You'll probably be better off if you just move.
OCG: Don't think I won't! I will! I'll move!
ME: I'll miss you.

LOL! I couldn't stop laughing at him! He was so worked up I think he probably would have moved and he probably would have done it in the middle of the night without telling anyone.

He finally calmed down, forgot all about his wii games and returned his emergency key to my drawer. This means that I'm free to mess with his games again. When he least expects it....lol!

We got the first postcard of the year in the mail today! It came all the way from Holland!!! It was a beautiful card with several different pictures on it and the kids were so excited.
When we looked at Holland on the map one kid was especially amazed and just kept asking, "How did it get here?" He just didn't seem to understand that the postal system can bring things from other countries too.
Technically, it was the second postcard of the year since a parent handed me one from Tampa, but it was the first to arrive in the mail. lol! Thank you for making our Monday so special!
Don't forget to sign up for my blog-o-versary give away! Sign ups are open until the 19th then I'll pick a winner!
