The Story of Me part 34

Download wordart here

Back by popular demand! LOL!

Last week was a long one for me and I completely forgot to post another installment of The Story of Me. Seriously, I can't believe you guys are still reading this, but it sure does my ego some good! So, keep reading! lol!

Thanks for the emails encouraging me to share more! Now, here you go...

Harmony had sat alone in the lunchroom eating. She spoke to no one and no one spoke to her. When it was time, she threw her trash away and followed the other third graders onto the playground. Harmony found a bench by the basketball court and had a seat to watch the other kids play. She could see the three pretty girls from class talking to a small group of boys and pointing in her direction.

The boys walked across the basketball court pointing at Harmony and chanting, ’You ain’t got no daddy.’ over and over again while the girls stayed behind and giggled. Harmony lowered her head and looked at her lap without saying a word while the boys continued to taunt her. Their chants were getting louder and crueler until Harmony felt someone sit on the bench beside her and the taunts suddenly stopped. The girls across the playground stopped laughing and the mean boys walked away.

Harmony kept her head lowered so that no one would see her tears until she heard a voice beside her say, “My name is Leo. I won’t let them bother you any more.”

Harmony looked up into the smiling face of a tall but skinny boy with missing and crooked teeth. His pants were too short. His shirt was too baggy and wrinkled. Leo had dark hair that was shaved close to his scalp and brown eyes that looked almost too big for his face. He reached over and touched one of the tears on her cheek. “Pretty girls like you should never cry. Why don’t you come play with me?”

Harmony smiled as she instantly fell in love with the boy who had come to her rescue. She nodded her head to let him know she was glad he was there and wanted to accept his invitation to play. Leo stood up and extended his hand for Harmony. She accepted it and spent the rest of playtime walking hand in hand and getting to know her new friend.

Once the students were back in class Harmony stopped at the door because she didn’t want to leave Leo. She didn’t want to sit at the table with the girls who had teased and made fun of her. “There’s an empty chair beside me.” Leo told her before he gave the mean girls a look daring them to say anything. Then he picked up Harmony’s supplies and led her to the back of the room where he had been sitting at a table by himself.

“This is my second time in third grade. I failed last year because I didn’t do enough of my work. Nobody messes with me and now you’re my girl so nobody will mess with you either.” Leo announced proudly as he pulled out a chair for Harmony to sit in.

“I’ll help you do your work. I’m shy but I’m kind of smart. Harmony said as she sat in the chair Leo offered her.

OMG!

I had to make a stop at Home Depot for Orange Croc Guy today. I'm always do such nice things for him. lol!

Well, I picked up the "way important" things that he needed, paid for everything and left the store without incident. I was proud of myself!

I was in the parking lot walking toward my car when I noticed a guy driving his car and weaving toward me. You know what I'm talking about? He was driving slowly and kind of going back and forth, like he was pretending that he wanted to hit me.

I immediately thought, "OMG! This guy wants to get my attention." Then I thought, "I wonder if he's cute?"

A few seconds after that I was thinking, "OMG! This guy is trying to kill me!" as I moved closer to some parked cars and further away from the oncoming Chevy of death.

The Chevy of death rode past me and I couldn't help but laugh and think, "OMG! That is so funny" as I watched the guy driving try to swat away a bee or whatever bug was flying around inside of his car.

Think I'll stay away from the Home Depot parking lot for awhile.

Who am I?

Download wordart here

I have a photography assignment that I am struggling with cause it has to be about me. I don't have to be in the photo, but the photo has to say something about me.

I don't want to say anything about me! At least, I don't want to show a photo about me to people who will be looking at the photo while I'm standing there watching them look at the photo that's about me. That's just uncomfortable.....and weird. I haven't known these people long enough to let them see a photo about me!

What is it that I want them to know? How much am I willing to share? How much should I share?

With my luck someone in the back of the class will yell out, "TMI! TMI!" and take off running from the room will their hands covering their eyes. Then they'll run into a wall and I'll get sued for causing their temporary blindness and the bump on their foreheads. Plus, I'll probably also have to pay for the damage to the wall.

This whole sharing thing is a bad, bad idea!

But, I have to do it cause I'm a teacher and teacher's always do their homework. Right?

So, I asked myself.....Who am I?

Then it hit me that if someone wants to know who I am all they have to do is read my blog.
So, I'm thinking I'll just pull up the old blog on the computer and take a picture.

While it's a simple idea, it shows who I am and should save me from getting sued. I mean people may have to look at the photo in class, but no one is going to make them go home and read the blog. If they choose to actually read anything, they'll be doing it at their own risk. Right?

If the computer picture is too boring I can always put things around it that I like. I can always add some chocolate and a bottle of tequila. lol!

I'm still very uncomfortable about all of this!

Why don't you guys make me feel better by sharing pictures about you and your personal space? Just post it on your blog and leave a link here.

I promise I won't sue!
