There were no teacher sacrifices to the testing Gods this morning.  But, there was a wonderfully inspiring back to school speech given by our Superintendent, Alberto Carvalho.

Totally worth getting for.  Lol!

Afterwards, I was even thinking about about going to school for a couple of hours, but decided to meet some friends for lunch instead.  Lol!  The speech was inspiring, but it's my last Friday off for awhile so I don't think anyone can blame me.

So, I'm on my way to bed now, but when I wake up in the morning I'm going to the Superintendent's back to school event.  Normally, this thing is only for administrators but, this year the principals were asked to invite one teacher from their school.  I'm the teacher my principal invited.

Am I impressed and honored?  No, not really!

First of all, the only reason my principal invited me is because I live closer to The Filmore Theater than anyone else at my school.  Yes, he actually told me that. Lol!

Secondly, I'm very suspicious of the fact they decided to invite only one teacher from each school.  I'm afraid they may try to offer us up as sacrifices to the testing gods or something.

I'll tell you guys all about it....if I survive.

After spending a looooong long weekend with no TV the cable guy finally showed up this morning and fixed everything.  I spent the rest of the day watching mindless TV shows and it was wonderful. Lol

I didn't have as much shopping time today so I only managed to save $93.05.

Now, I either did really well or really bad.  It just depends on how you look at it. Lol!
