Job hunting...

Download wordart here

OK, so, uummm, if you know of any schools that are looking for a kindergarten teacher could you put in a good word for me? I should probably start my job hunt now cause I'm pretty sure no one can go off on their principal the way I went off on mine today without facing some sort of punishment...really, really bad punishment.

In my defense, after being forced to test my students for over two hours on Tuesday I warned everyone that this was not going to be the week to mess with me!

I have decided that whatever my punishment is, I will wear it like a crown because I didn't say anything that wasn't true and I don't regret anything I said. As a matter of fact, after I had time to calm down and think about everything I was only sorry that I hadn't said more!

Orange Croc Guy has been laughing at me all night. He informed me that I'm the worst smack talker ever and that he's not going to support me after I get fired.

AND.....as if there weren't already enough things wrong in my life.....my photography class fieldtrip has been messed up and the last I heard they were changing the plans and now I might have to go photograph cows.

I don't do cows!

They're big and smelly and I'm scared!

  4. Really good teachers who CARE about teaching and not their unions or politics are hard to come by, Ginger. Maybe an awesome Charter school is just waiting for your talent. When God closes a door, He usually has a better idea!!

  5. OK a word from a Texan married to an upstate NYer that was raised on a dairy farm. I say, "Cows go moo." He says, "Cows go mer." Well, we tested that out in NM on a vacation when he decided to "mer" at a bunch of cows! LOL It scared all of them. They stampeded away from us, that is for sure!!! So, you can always "mer" if you have to. :D

  7. On the wordart: Your art is always fabulous and I thank you for each and every one!
On testing: I've taught my 4 children from K-12, and now help with college homework. I, too, never believed the Standardized Tests were a good choice. When I took them, I sweated! Good for you to speak out against them! 'Testing' little ones for that length of time is just...well...STUPID! (How much are they going to learn from a 5-year old?!)
On cows: In Montana, we have a lot of bovine neighbors; they are big and smelly, but for the most part, they keep to themselves. Just remember what Bing Crosby (Bob) said to Danny Kaye (Phil) in White Christmas: "you look at me with those
great big cow eyes,...,and I melt and go along! " :D
