Queen of the TV
Download wordart here
The good news is that for the first time in a long time there are no shows waiting to be watched in the DVR box.
The bad news is that I have spent the last three days lying around watching more TV than anyone should ever watch.
The funny news is that I don't really remember what I've watched.

Starting to feel normal again...
Download wordart here
I'm starting to feel a little more normal now. I'm still sleeping lots, but I'm not going to complain about that. lol!
I went in for my check up today and the doctor says I'm healing nicely. I'm not sure how she could tell because I'm pretty sure my girly parts ran away as soon as they figured out where we were.
They're still traumatized and I don't blame them for running! I would have run too, but I was still holding out hope for those frequent flyer points.
I'm never going to get those points and I'll be ok with that as long as I get good news next week.

I'm alive
I just wanted to pop in and let you guys know that I'm home and doing OK. Your emails have been wonderful and I'm sorry that I'm not answering all of them right away. I'll try to get to them over the next couple of days and between my naps.
I got home last night around 7:30 and have to go back in on Thursday afternoon just to be seen and make sure everything is OK. I told the doctor that I think she needs to start giving me frequent flyer points, but I also said some pretty mean things because I was in pain and I don't like pain so I'm pretty sure the frequent flyer points are a no go.
I will spare you the gory details and just say that my girly parts have seriously been violated and they may need counseling.
I should know in a week or so if they were able to cut everything out or if they want to violate my girly parts some more.
Right now I'm going to take another nap, but I promise that when I'm feeling better I'll tell you about the poor UPS smuck that had to use his personal vehicle to deliver my package at 10 PM Monday night.

Busted!

Today was a teacher's workday for us and we worked really hard. Trust me!
Around 2 o'clock my principal made his rounds to make sure we were all working and that no one had snuck out early. (Yes, he does that!) I asked if he was dropping by to tell us to go home and he said we should definitely go home by 4. We laughed at that comment cause we were all going to be at home sitting on our couches by that time since our day ends at three. lol!
Well, about 40 minutes later the boss came over the intercom and said that the building would be locked for the day at 3:45 and that we should adjust our planning time so that we would be out of the building at that time.
Five minutes later everyone in my building was running for their car! We had adjusted our planning time! lol!
Actually, we really thought it was a top secret coded message that meant we could go home. On the rare occasion that he lets us head out early, the boss always says something about planning instead of just saying go home. So, after dissecting his intercom message we decided that it was his dorky way of giving us permission to leave.
For most of us, going home means driving past the main office and parking lot. As I drove by, I noticed our principal was sitting in his car. I called the teacher whose car was in front of mine and asked if she had noticed. We laughed and joked about how he was sitting there to watch who left. I even said that we would have to tell one of the girls that had beaten us out of the building that he was looking for her.
Well...before I actually got home the teacher I had called was calling me back to say that she had gotten a phone call and the principal was looking for her. OOPS!
She sat in her driveway and called the school office only to be told that he wanted her to stop by and see him before she left for the day. She confessed that it was too late and that his announcement had been confusing.
Luckily, the man has a sense of humor!

Here's what I know...
Download wordart here
I know that if you're waiting for test results from the doctor and you see her number pop up on your caller ID on a Friday afternoon, it's ok to let the call go to voicemail. Especially, if the 10 days you were expecting to wait aren't anywhere near being over.
If you do let the call go to voicemail don't listen to the message until Monday morning. Enjoy your weekend and don't think about it.
I wish I had done that!
I was brave enough to let the call go to voicemail, but I wasn't brave enough to ignore it. OK, truthfully, it was more of an accident that it went to voicemail anyway. I saw the name and number on the phone and instead of answering it, I just stared at the phone and thought...
Not today...It's Friday and I have plans....Not today...
I finished up some things I was working on while going back and forth in my mind with the listen or don't listen fight. I ended up going with listening even though it was Friday and I had plans.
The first thing that struck me about the message was that it was actually the doctor and not the Physician Assistant who usually leaves the messages. The second thing I noticed was that she was way too chipper. So, after listening to but not really hearing the message I returned the call even though it was Friday and I had plans.
The doctor came on the phone and in a very cheery voice asked how I was doing. I let her know that I was good because it was Friday and I had plans.
She didn't waste any further time and got right to the point. She has the results, she needs me to come back in for another procedure, it's up to me if I do it in the operating room under anesthesia or not, but it needs to be done.
I sat there wondering how my body could do this to me. How could it go from perfectly fine to this in a year?
I asked, "Why....why are we doing this? What are we looking for?"
Her answer..... "Well, we're not going to call it cancer yet..."
I thought.... Good. I'm glad we're not calling it cancer, because it's Friday and I have plans....
I have another appointment on the 25th for this unnamed thing.
