I found this while playing on the internet instead of doing something productive...

After the day I tried to run away and ended up photographing the abandoned buildings I found myself wanting to photograph more abandoned places.  My trip to North Carolina provided the perfect opportunity.  In the mountains, it's easy to find abandoned homes and buildings.  We even found an abandoned amphitheater!

After taking pictures of one of the homes we found I even commented that at one time a family had lived there.  They probably had children and they were probably happy...poor, but happy.

I mean , how could you not be happy when you woke up every morning to the sound of the stream that was close by.
