The Grinch That Stole Easter!

Download word art here

My principal has decreed that egg hunts are for preschool students and NOT kindergarten students.  So, for the first time, there will be no egg hunt for us.

No egg hunt for us, but the kindergarten classes at other schools in our county will continue on with their traditions.

It's so sad and I truly can't wait for this school year to be over!

45 more kid days!

Meanwhile, drill and practice for a completely ridiculous standardized test continues.

  2. Hi Ginger, what a sad place our world is becoming, I have worked at many 'preschool/daycares' and more frequently all celebrations are becoming labelled "home holidays" meaning they are only celebrated at home.

  3. So sad that we are depriving our children of their childhood and making them grow up way too fast. Have a Happy Easter, I'm sure you will celebrate the true meaning.

  4. I retired from teaching in 2012. Prior to that, I had Easter egg hunts for my fifth graders and made it academic. Every plastic egg they found had a math problem in it. They would write down the problem on a piece of paper, close up the egg, and put it back in its hiding place. If they could solve the problem correctly, they got one jelly bean! The kids did more math problems that day than they did any other day of the school year!
