Stupid Magic 8 Ball!

Download word art here

OK, I seriously had and still have more things on my "to do" list today than I can possibly get completed.  So far, I've managed to get out of bed, talk on the phone, send emails and text messages and watch cheesy Christmas movies on Lifetime.  Only one of those things is actually on my "to do" list!  I'll let you guess which one.  lol!

Remember when the Magic 8 ball said I should buy a power ball ticket because I was going to win the money?  Well.....IT LIED!  Stupid Magic 8 Ball!

Yesterday, I was playing in the forum at DigiScrap Station and saw the siggy challenge with a free kit that has a magic 8 ball!  Of course, OCG was being difficult and claimed it was just a pool ball, but I know better!  It's a Magic 8 Ball and it was teasing me because I didn't win the power ball, I'm still poor and I still have to get out of bed on Monday mornings and go to work.

I had to join the challenge!  I couldn't just sit there while the Magic 8 Ball laughed at me!  I had to take control and so I did...

Oh, and I did not cut off the ends.....the Magic 8 Ball did.  At least that's the story I'm telling everyone!  lol!

Go check out the challenge and you'll get this cute tagger kit for free...

Now, I need all of you wonderful card makers to visit the awesome Amy Tsuruta at Tsuruta Designs!  She is hosting a card challenge in Sebastian's honor and there are some great prizes!  All you have to do is make a card, blog about it to help us spread the word about the card drive and link up to Amy's blog. Of course, we also need you to mail the card. lol!

Amy is just so amazingly talented and kind that it's unbelievable.

I don't want the card card makers out there to be left out, so my neighbor and I are hosting our own little challenge here.

You see, store bought cards are welcomed too!  We understand that not everyone has the time or in my case ~ the talent to make a card.

We're hoping that you'll help us spread the word about Sebastian's surgery and the card drive.  Make a blog post, send an email to your contacts, post it on face book or twitter or google+, share the information with your church group, your book club, your bowling league or post a sign in your front yard.  Then send me a link, copy, email or picture.

Please, if you post a sign in your front yard ~ send a picture cause that would be so cool!  lol!

While we were out running errands today my neighbor and I hit up Michael's to pick up some goodies we could give away.  Now, as I'm sure you know Michael's on a Saturday afternoon in December is no place for the fainthearted or easily bruised and I am easily bruised!  We had no idea what to buy since neither one of us are card makers or stampers, so we decided to just pick up some things that we thought were cute.  Forgive the horrible pictures we used her phone so that I could get this posted.

First there are these cute plastic stamps

Some rubber stamps

Maybe someone can explain the difference between the stamps to me.  I mean, other than the obvious wood, rubber and plastic thing.  lol!

And some glitter

I picked out the glitter cause if I ever learn how to make cards, I am going to make cards with glitter. Lots and lots and LOTS of glitter! Glitter rocks!

I've also got two $10 gift certificates to Whimsy Stamps to give away.

These prizes are all courtesy of my neighbor and her husband ~ even though he doesn't know about it yet.  And...even though he doesn't know it yet, OCG is going to cover the cost of postage.  Don't worry we'll tell them sooner or later.  lol!

Where's the weekend when you need it?

Download word art here

Going back to work this week has been exhausting!  I've come home everyday and napped and napped and napped then gone to sleep for the night.  lol!

One of the teachers at school got a grant to plant a garden with the kids and  she asked some of us to join her.  As soon as she approached me I made it quite clear that while I thought it was a wonderful idea; I know less than nothing about planting and growing things.

People, I have killed a cactus and I'm pretty sure I can even kill plastic plants if they're left in my care for too long!

I agreed to go along with the project for the kids but I'm not above buying vegetables at the store and placing them in the garden so it looks like I've grown something.  lol!

Anyway, I had to go over a four page survey with each child in my class individually, give each student a 20 question pre-test, then grade and record the test scores.

Seriously, I'm doing an awful lot of paperwork just for the privilege of killing some poor innocent plants.

Thank you guys for the emails about Sebastian!  I promise to let you know when the cards start arriving.

Now, don't worry if I disappear for awhile.  You see I plan on winning the big powerball prize.  I know I'm going to win because I asked the Magic 8 Ball if I should buy a ticket and it said YES.  Then I asked if I was going to win the money and it said YES.

I had to buy a ticket because everybody knows the Magic 8 Ball doesn't lie!
